실제로 하나님이 내려오셔서 쪼개져 죽으신 게 십자가란 말이에요.
The cross is where God Himself actually descended from above and died, cut in halves.
그걸 의라고 하는거예요. That is righteousness.
그 의가 우리를 의롭게 했다고 하는거에요. That righteousness, in turn, made us righteous,
그러면 우리도 우리가 하나님과의 관계에서 우리가 해야 할 의무를 이제 할 수 있는자가 됐다라는 말이란 말이에요 which means  we are now enabled to fulfill our duties in our relationship with God.
그게 하나늼의 의가 우리를 의롭게 했다는 말이란 말인것입니다. That’s what is meant by God’s righteousness making us righteous.
자, 그 의로움이 바로 사랑이에요: Now, that righteousness is love.
사랑은 감정이기 이전에 의로움에 표현이며 언약적인 행위 입니다. Love is the expression of righteousness and an act of covenant, before it’s an emotion.
여러분이 이건 외우고 계셔야 되요: You should all commit this to memory
의로움은 뭐라고 그랬어요, 연약의 관계 속에서 그 관계가 요구하는 의미를 성샐하게 수행하는 것!!: What did I say righteousness is? It is a faithful fulfillment of the demands of a covenant relationship.
사랑이 그런 면에서 의무라는 거예요: In this sense, love is a duty.
 
하나님께서 창세기 15장에서 아브라함과 언약을 맺으시고 고기를 쪼개놓고 / 그사이로 홀로 지나 가신으로 자신의 의로움을 나타냈다고 하는 것이 / 바로 우리가 알고 있는 십자가의 사랑 이란 말이에요: In genesis chapter 15, God makes a covenant with Abram, cuts the sacrificial animals in halves, and walks in between. He says he expressed his righteousness by doing so. That’s the love of the Cross as we know it.
그럴때 여러분이 아 얼마나 아프셨을까 / 하나님은 그 아들이 죽는 걸 보고 얼마나 가슴이 미어지셨을까 / 이렇게 접근하시면 안 됀단 말이에요: you shouldn’t approach this thinking, “how much pain He must have suffered, how heart-wrenching it must’ve been for Him to see His Son die.”
그것보다 사랑 이라는 것은 하나님이 하시고자 하는 그 언약의 관계에서 그 의무를 아주 성실하게 완전하게 수행 해 내시는 거예요. Rather, love is His complete and faithful fulfillment of the demands of the covenant that God made.
그것을 사랑 이라고 하는거예요:That is what you’d call “love.”
